This past spring I rolled out a sliding scale discount as a thank you to celebrate the shop and the end of the school year. This acted as a test run for a permeant sliding scale. As of TODAY, 7/26/2023 the permanent sliding scale will be available at all times to aid in making pieces more accessible.
There will be three tiers this system will allow you to select a discount code level that suits your budget and needs.
Tier A ( 20%) Folx in this tier work to meet their basic needs and may not always be able to meet them. They may also be unemployed or in transition. Folx here may experience inconsistent housing, transportation and childcare, and are not able to afford to take time off work or vacation.
Tier B (10%) Folx in this tier work to meet their basic needs and at times may feel financial worry but ultimately are able to regularly access their basic needs. Folx here may have some debt, but are able to save a bit, access healthcare, have some expendable income and are able to take time off work.
Tier C (Full Price) Folx in this tier work or do not need to work to comfortably meet their basic needs, such as food and housing. Folx in this tier either own their home or rent above the average rent in their city. They have savings , expendable income, does not struggle to access health care and are able to afford holidays and time off work.
( I used Alexis Cunningfolk Green Bottle Sliding Scale as reference for mine)
WANT TO SUPPORT THE SLIDING SCALE? Currently my prices in the shop have no profit markups and specifically only covers production cost. What this means is that I am directly paying the difference that results from the sliding scale. If you would like to support the scale and help offset the cost you can contribute to the scale here
